



Michael Allen, the author of The Truth about Writing, is an award-winning, full-time writer who has worked successfully in all the media for over forty years.
To date, Michael has published eleven novels, mostly crime fiction and thrillers. These novels have appeared in a variety of hardback and paperback formats in the UK, USA, France, and Denmark.
In the world of theatre, Michael’s comedy-thriller Spykiller won the first prize of £1,000 in the Bouchercon 1990 competition for a stage play with a theme based on crime. Two other stage plays were performed in 1996 and 1999 respectively. Michael has also had drama produced on radio and television.
Michael is the author of two non-fiction books and has written numerous articles for magazines. He currently owns and operates a small press, Kingsfield Publications.
